ABOUT ATTORNEY PHILIP J THOMAS

Philip J. Thomas has been a licensed Michigan Attorney for 38 years. He served as an assistant prosecutor at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. Following his service as an assistant prosecutor, Mr. Thomas served as an ethics prosecutor at the Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission. In August of 1990, the Michigan Supreme Court transferred him to the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission and then appointed Mr. Thomas to serve as Grievance Administrator.

After his service at the Attorney Grievance Commission concluded in 1998 he then went into private practice and specializes in representing professionals and others in disciplinary, criminal and licensing matters.

He also has served as an adjunct professor of Professional Responsibility at the University of Detroit Mercy Law School and Detroit College of Law/Michigan State University.
